Terms and Conditions

Last updated: Oct 1, 2026

These terms

They govern your use of the Tidestone website, documentation and software (the "Services"). Use the Services and you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use them.

Sandbox and pre-release

Tidestone is experimental, pre-release software running in a sandbox. It is not a live financial product.

  • Sandbox figures carry no monetary value, and no production capital is at risk.
  • The Services may change, reset or be discontinued at any time, and data may be lost.
  • Behaviour in the sandbox is no indication of behaviour in any later release.
  • Do not commit production capital or make live financial decisions on the basis of the Services.

What Tidestone is, and is not

Tidestone is software. It holds no funds and no key that moves them, it makes no finding, and it gives no financial, investment, legal or tax advice. It does not provide or arrange insurance, and it is not an insurer, a bank, a broker or a custodian.

Operators and their funding

Production funding would come on separate terms from the operator or an independent funding provider. Operators and funding providers are responsible for their own agreements, licensing, and compliance with the terms that apply to them. Those separate terms govern the relationship between them and their users, not us.

Your account

Keep your credentials to yourself and tell us if they are lost. You are responsible for what happens under your account, and for the accuracy of what you put into it.

Acceptable use

Use the Services for evaluation, development and testing. Do not use them to break the law, or to:

  • facilitate money laundering, sanctions evasion, fraud or other financial crime;
  • attack, disrupt or reverse engineer the Services beyond what the applicable licence permits;
  • circumvent security or eligibility controls; or
  • infringe the rights of others, or misrepresent your identity or authority.

Intellectual property

The Tidestone name, brand and site content belong to Tidestone or its licensors. Open-source components keep their own licences, which govern your use of them.

Availability

We may change, suspend or withdraw any part of the Services at any time, with or without notice. Services we link to are run by other people and are subject to their own terms and policies.

No warranties

The Services are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent the law allows, Tidestone and its personnel are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for lost profits, revenue, data or opportunity, arising out of or connected with the Services.

Suspension and termination

We may suspend or end your access at any time, in particular where these Terms are breached. You may stop using the Services whenever you like.

Changes and contact

We may update these Terms as the project develops. The date at the top says when they last changed. Questions go to engineering@tidestone.xyz.
